Why didn’t anyone tell me?
I know how Steely Dan got their name. I know what item, they named their band after.
I’ve listened to Steely Dan forever.
But no one told me, “The Fez” was not about a hat, but according to the people who commented on the vid, a condom.
Why aren’t you people keeping me up on these details? I need to know!
hahaha. I’m somewhat familiar with their music tho’ I hadn’t seen the video. Once you watch it with that in mind their are plenty of clues…condoms, drugstores etc.
This video is a “fan made” vid, not an official vid, so the whole drug thing adds confusion. Not many studio renditions of the song on youtube, so I had to grab what was available.

Love the Assemblages! Love being able to peer into that box to see things. And the other one I see in your gallery, the three pieces. I did a few minor works myself back when I was doing art full time, and plan on doing more one day. Something about the idea of sculpture, found objects etc and art that really intrigues me.
the box is glass with rubbed graphite mounted to a steel frame. you can see through, but only bits and pieces. there are windows delgated for the viewer to “peep” at the diarama inside, placed at difficult areas to get to when approaching the piece. i dont know if you caught it, but there is imagery peppered through out the gallery using the figures inside.
